May 21, 2018

Hey everyone, 86 days left not counting today haha.

It's crazy how fast time is flying, I'll be turning 21 months this coming friday

This week has gone by in a breeze.

Monday was a normal P-day, got some good piano practice in on Clair de Lune

Tuesday and Wednesday were just solid work days. We've been trying to find father led families and this week we've been able to have 3 solid appointments with 3 different fathers. Cool stuff, I just hope one of them sticks.

Thursday night I began an exchange with Elder Dennis, a new elder in our zone from Arizona.

Friday was a nice exchange, kind of reminded me of the times when I was on my first exchange as a new missionary. The only somewhat scary part was giving him his first driving lessons and letting him drive. We also had district meeting which was nice to get some training from Elder Armstrong, our district leader.

Saturday and Sunday were alright, just good work.

Well until next week's email, this upcoming week should have some nice things happening.

May 15, 2018

Hello everyone.

This week has been busy, full of drops and a lot of stuff in between

Monday was an average p-day, still working on learning clair de lune.

Tuesday - Thursday were pretty average. We were really helping Olwam and Sindile get ready for their baptisms that were happening on Saturday.

Wednesday we did a presentation for the Stake High Council in regards to the missionary work in the zone and stake. It was nice and there was a good discussion, kind of scary though but it was good.

Friday I was on exchanges with Elder Lupeni from Tonga. We had a really good time and we were able to get tons of referrals which was nice so we have quite a few people we can contact in the coming weeks.

Saturday was the baptism of Sindile and Olwam, it was really nice. The ward also turned out in large numbers, it was great. Sunday they got confirmed.

Sunday was nice because of the confirmation and also Skyping the family. It was a great skype. Crazy how fast time is going, that was my last on a mission.

Well for the time being, still here in MD for a few more weeks.

May 7, 2018

This week has been pretty good, but busy

Monday we had the MLC with Elder Palmer as mentioned last email,

Tuesday was our P-Day

Following in the week, wednesday was a nice day of appointments. We were able to finish some of the preparations for some of our investigators to get interviewed for baptism.

Thursday was great. We had a zone conference with Elder Palmer from the 70 (he will be the area president here in August)

An emphasis on his message was about love, he was pretty cool. It's always inspiring to learn from the general leaders of the church. They really bring a special spirit with them when they visit.

We were also trained by his wife, President Lebethoa, and Sister Lebethoa. Great training.

Friday was a decent day, we did some baptismal interviews for MD3rd ward. We also had some good appointments.

Saturday and sunday were full of drops.... too many...  But hey, two of our investigators passed their baptismal interviews which is nice, they should be getting baptised this coming saturday. cool stuff.

But hey, the work goes on. It's just crazy because tomorrow I will have 100 days left.... time really goes. I'm also excited for skype on mothers day. Fun stuff

Until the next week.

May 1, 2018

Hey everyone,

20 months are down, time is going quick, I got my "dying" email this week about travel plans so that is scary.

The past week has been really really busy. We started out by doing soccer at the chapel, I practiced some piano.

Tuesday was a normal day... just preparing for the transfers on Wednesday

Wednesday I was one of the drivers to transport missionaries to P.E., but we only went as far as Grahamstown to meet the others coming from P.E. It was a beautiful drive and we saw some giraffes and zebra and buffalo on the way... that was pretty awesome just to see them out in the wild. King Williams town and Grahamstown were beautiful too, but way out in the middle of nowhere it seemed.

Wednesday night was normal proselyting.

Thursday through Saturday though we had so many dropped appointments.... but we made things work. It was pretty good.

Sunday was nice, we had a good day at our 5 hours of church and had a nice DA after.

Monday was pretty cool, we had an MLC with Elder Palmer of the 70, he'll be doing zone conference with us on Thursday so we're really looking forward to that.

We had a good fhe in the evening. Fun stuff,

Until the next week!

April 23, 2018

This week has been a rollercoaster,

We've been doing a lot of finding, we're still trying to build our investigator pool. The work is moving smoothly though. We got transfer news and I found out I'll be staying another 6 weeks so that's pretty awesome. I'm excited for what's to come.... there should be a lot of good.

Saturday was the highlight of the week, Mama Notemba got baptised. It was a great day and she really overcame her fear. Khanyisile, who will be leaving this Thursday for mission to Joburg, baptised and his brother Zizi, who will be leaving June for Durban, assisted. It was great. Afterward she bore a powerful testimony.

I've been able to see her get taught all the way since first ever visiting the church on Christmas Eve. I even had the opportunity to confirm her on Sunday.

Aphiwe and Vuyo also got ordained to the office of priest in the Aaronic priesthood and are now preparing for the Melchizedek priesthood. Pretty cool stuff, I hope they both serve mission. They are great guys.

After church we had Khanyisile's going away event for mission.

I'm excited for what's to come. Mdantsane really is my home now... There's a reason God puts us where we are.

Until the next
